History
Polymer Technology Program; Ege University was opened in the name of Ege Vocational School as plastic technology as second education in 2002-2003 academic year. Later, the structured teaching was passed. The name of the program, which is being organized in the second and third years of education, has been changed by YÖK as Tire and Plastics Technology in the academic year of 2009 - 2010.2016-2017 has been changed as Polymer Technology since the academic year.
Profile of The Programme
The students studying in the Polymer Technology Program take courses in theory and practice at Ege Vocational School in their classrooms and workshops. 70% of the student profile constitutes vocational high school and 30% of students make up straight high school students. The total student quota of the program (structured teaching 40 + second teaching 40) is 80 students.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Employment areas of program graduates; plastic raw materials and plastic parts. Graduates can be employed in public and private sectors, as well as in their own workplaces. Students who graduate can find jobs as production and quality control personnel in different sectors where plastic materials are used (raw material production, construction, automotive, food, machinery, white goods etc.) [Esen Plastik, Petkim, Vestel, Arçelik, Ford ..]
